It’s official, clay masks are the best thing since sliced bread. They can clear out clogged pores, help with scars and hyperpigmentation, and give your skin a major hydration boost. In our humble opinion, there’s really no better way to give your skin some much needed TLC than with a clay face mask.

Which is why we’re super excited to introduce you to Minenssey, a natural skincare brand that has just joined the Oz Hair & Beauty family! With clay masks that target acne prone skin, dryness, oiliness and more, it’s safe to say they have the best clay masks we’ve come across.

Want to learn a little bit more about these clay masks and how to get the skin of your dreams? Keep reading! There’s also a nice little surprise gift at the end of this blog too.

Overview

About Minenssey & their natural clay masks

Founded by natural skincare expert, Cheryl Ross, this Sydney-born company is all about keeping things natural.

By combining raw elements with native botanicals, their clay masks are packed full of goodness. They harness everything from pomegranate and Australian kakadu plum, to moonstone and snow-flower. But their hero ingredient? Australian clay.

Australian clay is not only amazing for fighting breakouts and sun damage, but for giving your skin intense hydration and making it look glowier than ever.

Their face masks also won Beauty Heaven’s 2018 skin care award - proof that they truly are the best clay masks!

4 of the best clay masks to add to your skincare routine

1. Deep Cleansing Clay Mask

Struggling with acne prone skin or clogged pores? The Deep Cleansing Clay Mask is the best clay mask for you.

Harnessing the power of green clay, antioxidant-rich pepper berry and parsley seed, this mask is perfect for when your skin is freaking out. Green clay, the star of the show, works hard to absorb excess oil and draw out any impurities. Plus, because it’s super gentle on your skin and doesn’t irritate it further, this mask is ideal for both dry and sensitive skin.

White heads, blind pimples and redness really don’t stand a chance against this face mask. Even after just a few uses, you’ll be able to see how it purifies the skin and leaves your skin feeling smoother than ever.

2. Hydrating Clay Mask

If your skin is begging for a little extra hydration, the Hydrating Clay Mask is your new go-to. Featuring a restorative blend of wild harvested flannel flower, rosella fruit and Australian white clay, this mask is our favourite all-rounder.

Perfect for all skin types, and gentle enough for sensitive and damaged skin, this mask can be used to sooth and help reduce the visibility of scars and marks. It’s also perfect for either those warmer or cooler seasons when your skin typically dries out.

3. Rejuvenating Clay Mask

Enriched with Australian kakadu plum - a natural ingredient packed full of vitamin C - the Rejuvenating Clay Mask is going to give you a major face lift. Add in pomegranate, an ingredient known for its antioxidant, anti-microbial and anti-aging properties, and you’ve got the best clay mask for hyperpigmentation, dryness and age spots!

In this mask, Australian pink clay (a mixture of white and red kaolin clay) works to revive and calm down sun damaged skin - a must-have treatment for those of you that are under the sun every day.

4. Brightening Clay Mask

Skin feeling a little dull, uneven and tired?

Made with a cocktail of snow-flower, moonstone extract and black and white clay, this clay mask is your new best-friend. Ideal for all skin types, the Brightening Clay Mask leaves your skin with a radiant, light-reflecting glow.

How these clay masks fit into your daily routine

When it comes to using face masks, we love a little Sunday self-care moment. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use any of these clay masks to get you over that mid-week hump or to prep your skin before a Friday night.

How to use clay masks

Minenssey’s masks are super easy to use.

  • Remove your makeup and cleanse your face (hello double cleanse). We’re loving Minenssey’s Hydrating Cleansing Souffle at the moment!
  • Pick the best clay mask for your skin. Apply a thick layer of the mask on your face, neck or body.
  • Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes and then gently remove with warm water and a cotton pad.

Should I moisturise after a clay mask?

Yes, absolutely! It might seem a little counterintuitive to moisturise after a mask, especially if you used the Hydrating Clay Mask. But when you add a moisturiser on top of the clay mask, you’re creating a physical barrier that seals in all of those magical, active ingredients you just put on your skin.

Looking for a new moisturiser? Try Minenssey’s Hydrating Quenching Aqua Cream! We’re also kind of obsessing over their Lip Spa Regenerating treatment too, because your lips deserve a little TLC too.

How often should you use a clay face mask?

This depends on your skin concern, but generally 1-2 times a week.

Minenssey’s masks are easily the best clay masks that you can slather on your skin. And good news! We’re giving away a mini 4 pack of these clay masks with every order over $120.
